This website is operated by Dr Tay Jia Sheng of Spectrum Vascular & General Surgery (“the clinic”, “we”). We are committed to handling personal data in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). This policy explains what data this website handles, what happens when you contact the clinic, and your rights.

What this website collects

Very little. This is a static informational site: it has no user accounts, no login, and no contact forms, and it does not set cookies or use advertising trackers. Fonts and images are served from this site’s own domain, so viewing pages does not send your data to font or content networks.

  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider processes technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) transiently, as every website host does, for security and delivery of the site.

When you contact the clinic

The telephone, WhatsApp and email links on this site connect you directly with the clinic. When you use them, you may choose to share personal data with us — typically your name, contact details, and information about your health concern. We collect and use that data for these purposes:

  • Responding to your enquiry
  • Scheduling and managing appointments
  • Providing medical care, and maintaining the medical records that Singapore law requires healthcare providers to keep
  • Processing payments and insurance or Medisave claims, where applicable

By contacting the clinic with your details, you consent to their use for these purposes. Medical information you share is additionally protected by the confidentiality obligations that apply to medical practice in Singapore, which go beyond the PDPA.

Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only where needed to provide your care (for example, to a hospital or laboratory involved in your treatment, or to your insurer with your authorisation) or where the law requires it.

Third-party services

Links on this site to WhatsApp, Google Maps, ORCID and other external services take you to platforms governed by their own privacy policies. Messages you send via WhatsApp are handled under WhatsApp’s terms as well as ours.

Retention and protection

Enquiry details are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. Medical records are retained in accordance with Singapore healthcare regulations. We take reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data in our possession against unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to or correction of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent to its continued use (subject to legal and clinical record-keeping obligations). To do so, or to ask any question about this policy, contact our data protection officer:
