Procedures
Treatments & procedures
Minimally invasive techniques are the default in my practice, not the exception. Each procedure is performed in the facility most appropriate to it — clinic, day surgery centre or major private hospital in Singapore — chosen to optimise safety and outcomes.
Venous procedure
Choosing a Varicose Vein Treatment
Stockings, sclerotherapy, heat, glue, MOCA, echotherapy or surgery — how the options compare, and how the scan decides which fits you.
Wound procedure
Advanced Wound Care & Skin Grafting
Debridement, negative pressure therapy, dermal substitutes and skin grafts — with the circulation fixed first, because dressings cannot outrun an untreated cause.
Vascular access procedure
AV Fistula & Graft Creation
Creating reliable haemodialysis access — joining artery to vein, or placing a graft when the veins are not suitable, planned on ultrasound vein mapping.
Arterial procedure
Carotid Endarterectomy & Stenting
Stroke prevention for a narrowed carotid artery — removing the plaque surgically or stenting it, chosen on anatomy, symptoms and timing.
Venous procedure
Deep Venous Stenting
Reopening compressed or scarred pelvic veins — May–Thurner compression and post-thrombotic obstruction — guided by intravascular ultrasound.
Vascular access procedure
Dialysis Access Salvage (Fistuloplasty)
Rescuing a failing fistula or graft — balloon fistuloplasty, drug-coated balloons and central venoplasty, usually as a day procedure.
Venous procedure
DVT Thrombolysis & Thrombectomy
Clearing extensive deep vein clot through a catheter — for severe iliofemoral DVT, alongside (not instead of) blood thinners.
General surgery
Gallstone Surgery (Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy)
Keyhole removal of the gallbladder for symptomatic gallstones — usually day surgery, before an attack becomes an emergency.
General surgery
Hernia Repair (Open & Laparoscopic)
Fixing groin, umbilical and incisional hernias — keyhole or open, mesh or sutured — matched to the hernia and to you.
Venous procedure
HIFU Echotherapy (Non-Invasive Vein Treatment)
Sealing leaking veins with focused ultrasound from outside the skin — no needle in the vein, no incision, nothing left behind.
Arterial procedure
Lower Limb Arterial Bypass
Rerouting blood around a blocked leg artery with your own vein or a graft — for blockages beyond what balloons and stents can durably fix.
General surgery
Lumps & Bumps — Minor Surgical Excision
Removing lipomas, cysts and other skin lumps under local anaesthesia in the clinic — with every specimen sent for histology.
Venous procedure
Mechanochemical Ablation (MOCA)
Closing leaking veins with a rotating micro-wire plus sclerosant — no heat, no tumescent anaesthesia, one needle puncture.
Venous procedure
Microphlebectomy
Removing bulging varicose veins through tiny 1–2 mm nicks — usually without stitches, often in the same sitting as ablation.
Venous procedure
Pelvic Vein Embolisation
Treating pelvic congestion syndrome — chronic pelvic pain from refluxing pelvic veins — by closing the faulty veins through a catheter.
Vascular access procedure
Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Insertion
Placing a PD catheter laparoscopically or by open technique — positioned accurately so home dialysis starts and stays reliable.
Venous procedure
Sclerotherapy (Liquid & Foam)
Injecting a medicine that seals off spider veins and smaller varicose veins — done in the clinic, no anaesthesia, walk out straight after.
Endoscopy
Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy
Endoscopic examination of the digestive tract — screening for colorectal cancer, investigating symptoms, and removing polyps in the same sitting.
Arterial procedure
Geniculate Artery Embolisation
A minimally invasive option for knee osteoarthritis pain — blocking the abnormal small arteries that feed inflammation, without surgery on the joint.
Arterial procedure
Angioplasty, Atherectomy & Stenting
Reopening narrowed or blocked arteries from within, through a puncture smaller than a pen tip — often as a day procedure.
Venous procedure
Endovenous Ablation (RFA / Laser)
The established keyhole standard for varicose veins — closing the faulty vein from within using radiofrequency or laser energy.
Aortic procedure
EVAR & TEVAR (Aortic Stent Grafting)
Keyhole repair of aortic aneurysms — relining the aorta through two small groin punctures instead of open surgery.
Venous procedure
VenaSeal (Medical Adhesive Closure)
Sealing faulty veins with a medical adhesive — no heat, a single needle puncture, and usually no compression stockings afterwards.
